I wanted to make something that was just about as creepy as I could come up with, and a skull that follows you around the room fits the bill pretty well. So here's the story of what I did. More detail will be posted soon. Oh, and some videos too.

Parts / Materials

  • Fake skull, approximately life-sized
  • USB webcam
  • 2 servos
  • Brackets for the servos
  • Sturdy base (I used 2x4s)
  • Arduino, or other microcontroller
  • Battery pack
  • Breadboard
  • Laptop with Python, OpenCV, and 2 USB ports
